The widespread application of gas has played an extremely important role in optimizing energy structure, improving environmental quality, and enhancing people's living standards. The National Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipeline Network Group Co., Ltd. will build a "five vertical and five horizontal" natural gas trunk pipeline network in the next five years. By 2025, the natural gas pipeline network of the National Pipeline Network Group will form a "four major (import) channels" and a "five vertical and five horizontal" trunk pipeline network pattern. As of the end of 2020, the total length of natural gas pipelines in China is 79100 kilometers, and by 2025, the domestic natural gas demand will be about 400-450 billion cubic meters. With the accelerated development of small and medium-sized cities and the increasing use of natural gas year by year, the operation and management of gas pipelines are becoming increasingly important. At present, gas pipelines in cities are mainly made of metal pipes in the early stage. In the later stage, due to the strong pollution resistance, light weight, low cost, and corrosion resistance of PE pipelines, their proportion in the city's official website is increasing. Due to the non-standard construction of gas pipelines on urban roads and the turnover of management personnel, the pipeline drawings are not consistent with the actual construction and pipeline drawings, resulting in frequent incidents of pipeline damage during the construction process. Especially in accidents caused by cross construction of urban roads, inaccurate positioning of pipelines has delayed the optimal repair time. Accurate detection of the location and leakage points of gas pipelines can reduce the probability of accidents and minimize the loss of life and property. To safeguard the safe operation of the city. In summary, with the acceleration of urban development and the increasing investment in oil and gas pipelines, the number of engineering projects is growing, and the demand for professional and technical personnel is constantly increasing. However, their quality and quantity still cannot meet the needs of society and the market.
